Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame is nearly upon North American audiences, but the long-awaited conclusion to the 22-film Infinity Saga has already debuted overseas and earned $169 million through Wednesday at the international box office. The day-one total gross includes the $107.5 million debut in China and its opening day intake in 24 other material markets, all of which have seen Endgame premiere with bigger numbers than last year’s Infinity War.
In addition to its record-breaking debut in China, Avengers: Endgame opened in Korea as the top all-time industry single day in admissions and now holds the title of best non-holiday opening day ever. Following China and Korea, the top ten performers for Avengers: Endgame are Australia ($7M/+17% on IW), France ($6M/+64%), Italy ($5.8M/+66%), Germany ($5.6M/+95%), Philippines ($3.9M/+45%), Hong Kong ($2.7M/+98%), Taiwan ($2.6M/+50%) and Indonesia ($2.5M/+42%).
