During an interview with Fandango, Avengers: Endgame co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo expressed their interest in taking on a film with Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
With Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox’s entertainment assets complete, fans are already looking forward to what Marvel Studios has in store for the MCU after The Infinity Saga concludes with Avengers: Endgame. Of course, fans are excited to see the X-Men join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and while the Russo Brothers will likely take a break from the franchise after Endgame hits theaters, the filmmakers expressed their passion for Wolverine when asked which character they would like to tackle now that the Disney-Fox merger is complete:
“I mean, we’ve always been huge fans of Wolverine. We certainly haven’t been thinking about if and when and how we would ever go there, but just off the top of my head, that’s a character we’ve always been passionate about.”
