Since Black Panther has been in production at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia since the end of last January, it appears likely that Boseman has filmed a few scenes from another ongoing production as well – Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel, which is currently filming in the same location. With that in mind, perhaps deciding to “count the days” isn’t exactly a conventional thing to do considering that Boseman will be shooting scenes for two to three Marvel movies at the same time, but perhaps Ali’s assessment that one should always “make the days count” will always be on the table. If Boseman gives it his all, it’s entirely possible that the Black Panther could become a cultural icon in the same way that Ali is.
Black Panther will open on February 16, 2018. It is directed by Ryan Coogler and will feature a cast that includes Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa (Black Panther), Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Forest Whitaker as Zuri, Florence Kasumba as Ayo, John Kani as T’Chaka, Sterling K. Brown as N’Jobu, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Kilmonger, Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue, and Winston Duke as M’Baku (Man-Ape). In addition, Letitia Wright, Phylicia Rashad, and Atandwa Kani are also cast in unspecified roles.
