The first trailer and poster for Spike TV's 'The Mist' miniseries based on the 1980 Stephen King novella has been released.
Based on the novella by Stephen King first published in an anthology in 1980, The Mist will be a 10-episode series following the residents of a small town in Maine as they find their home engulfed by a mysterious mist. Bringing bizarre and inexplicable events to the town and messing with more than one townsperson, the series will test the characters and their relationships in ways that will not only try their sanity but also their humanity.
The first trailer for the series has landed and along with it comes a poster for the show as well. You can check out both below.
Of course, the novella first made its way to screens in 2007’s The Mist feature film by Frank Darabont. This time around, the story will be told as a “reimagining” of the source material as previously stated by executive producer Christian Torpe.
The Mist stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Washington, Jr., and Frances Conroy.
The story was reimagined for television by executive producer and writer Christian Torpe and produced for Spike by TWC-Dimension Television.
The Mist premieres Thursday, June 22 at 10 p.m. on Spike.
