Aquaman director James Wan shared a picture of the awesome Christmas gift he received from DC Comics publisher and renounced artist Jim Lee while thanking him.
Aquaman might be one of the most comic booky films to date for embracing the costumes and translating it accurately in live-action. The film was also inspired by Geoff Johns’ New 52 run of the character which was illustrated by Ivan Reis, who also worked on the film as well. Lee illustrated Aquaman in Justice League‘s New 52 run and is currently the co-publisher of DC Comics with Dan DiDio.
Lee is also known for his work on The Uncanny X-Men, Batman: Hush, All Star Batman & Robin, the Boy Wonder, and more. Wan shared a picture on his Twitter of a Christmas gift he got from Lee and thanked him writing, “Christmas gifts from one of my idols growing up @JimLee. Never thought I would ever meet Jim, let alone get this amazing note from him. Thank You so much, sir.”
